Dimitar is a Buckinghamshire-based artist and has lived in Aylesbury for several years. He paints in a variety of mediums, including oil and pastel. For his most recent work, he has taken inspiration from the local landscape and his garden. His professional path began at the age of 15 when he enrolled in the Fine Art College in Kazanlak, in Bulgaria where he studied from 1975 to 1980.

From 1982 Dimitar he studied at The National Art Academy in Sofia in the class of Prof. Peter Mihajlov. He graduated in Fine Arts from the Academy in 1988. Until 1999 He lived and worked in Sofia, Bulgaria. During this period, as a free-lance artist, he presented series of works in galleries across the country and took part in national exhibitions. His work is shown as part of the collection of the National Fine Arts Gallery in Sofia, such as his profile in his country of origin. From 2000 to 2003 Dimitar lived and worked in Hungary and Croatia before moving to the UK with his family.
